Flamingos in love

Otra atracción turística que visité con mi familia es el SS Great Britain, el primer transatlántico propulsado por una hélice. En 1845 realizo su viaje inaugural a Nueva York, y unos años más tarde, se transformó en un barco de emigración, que viajaba entre UK y Australia. Vale la pena visitarlo, está tan bien ambientado (cada sala tiene su olor particular) que te hace sentir como si estuvieras viajando de verdad.

Ese día escogí el jersey de flamencos, uno de mis estampados favoritos de esta temporada. Después de haberlo visto en varias prendas de Matthew Williamson, Topshop y Asos, quería algo con este estampado

La anécdota del día es que cuando mi madre me estaba sacando fotos en la calle, paró un coche, el conductor salió y nos explicó que era fotógrafo, y acabó sacándome algunas fotos. 

Another attraction that I visited with my family is the SS Great Britain, the first iron steamer that cross the Atlantic in 1845. Then it turned into an emigration ship, carrying thousand of passengers from UK to Australia. It is worth visiting, it's so well decorated (each room has its particular smell) that makes you feel like you're actually traveling.

That day I chose my flamingo jumper, it is one of my favourite prints this season. I'd seen some clothes from Matthew Williamson, Topshop and Asos, and I wanted a garment with flamingos.

When my mum was taken me some pics on the street, a car stopped and the man told us that he is a photographer and he took me some pics.

Estos días han venido mis padres y mi hermana a verme. Aunque ha llovido todos los días (y también ha salido un gran sol todos los días), hemos ido a algunos sitios en los que ya había estado y he podido conocer otros que todavía no había podido visitar como The Georgian House Museum, una casa de finales de siglo XVIII, y el Red Lodge Museum, una casa construida en 1580 que tuvo diferentes usos en el pasado -hasta fue una escuela para niñas- y algunos otros (ya los veréis en los siguientes posts). La verdad es que, después de más 3 meses sin verles, necesitaba estar con ellos.


My parents and my sister came to Bristol last Wednesday. We spent five amazing days together, even though it rained every day (and every day the sun came up). We visited different places that I had visited before, and some new places, like The Georgian House Museum, a typical 18th Century town house, and The Red Lodge Museum, a house built in 1580 which had several uses in the past, (and some more that you are going to see on the next few posts). I hadn't seem them for more than three months and I really needed to spend some time with them.

Weston-super-Mare

El pasado domingo visitamos Weston-super-Mare, una ciudad preciosa situada en la costa, a una hora de Bristol. La verdad es que nos enamoró: burritos que daban vueltas por la playa, trenes que te llevaban de un lado a otro, un pequeño parque de atracciones cerrado, que nos recordó a las típicas ferias americanas... todo parecía de peli.


Last Sunday we visited Weston-super-Mare, a beautiful city situated on the coast, and just an hour from Bristol. We really fell in love with that: there were little donckeys that walked along the beach, little trains to go everywhere and even a little indoor theme park... it was like being in a movie.

It's spring time

Con este post quiero despedirme definitivamente del invierno. Estos días hace más calor, y el miércoles viene mi familia a visitarme con una maleta llena de ropa primaveral y se van a llevar toda la ropa de invierno. Así que, aunque vuelva el frío, ya no volveré a publicar más outfits invernales. Estos son algunos looks que nunca llegué a publicar.

With that post I want to say goodbye to winter. These days the weather is warmer and sunny. Besides, next wednesday my family is visiting me and they are going to bring a big suitcase full of spring clothes for me, and all my winter clothes are going back to Spain with them. So, I won't post any winter outfit. Those are some looks that I never published. 

Happy Easter: Chocolate Festival

  

¡Feliz Pascua!
Este fin de semana se ha celebrado el Chocolate Festival en Bristol. Diferentes tipos de chocolates y dulces han convertido el Harbourside en el paraíso y se han llevado a cabo diferentes tipos de actividades como música en directo, una competición de diseñar huevos de pascua, encontrar al Easter Bunny, entre otras. La pena es que el tiempo no ha acompañado y he tenido que volver a sacar los jerseys gruesos, el abrigo y el paraguas.

The Chocolate Festival was celebrated in Bristol this weekend. The Harbourside filled with different kind of chocolates and sweet, and it hosted a programme of free activities like live music, a "Design your own Easter Egg" competition, a game to find the Easter Bunny, etc. It was a pity that the weather wasn't good and I had to wear a big jumper, a coat and take the umbrella.
